Point of Blur. 2010

In 2010, I was part of an arttists-led intiative called Invisible Borders. Founded in 2009, this project unites up to 10 photgraphers from Nigeria on a road trip from Lagos to other cities in the continent, traversing borders with frequent obstacles. In the process, they create works and network with colleagues met in these cities. It is an annual event. For the year in question, the artists traveled from Lagos to Dakar on a rented 14-seater Ford bus. This body of work I created during this travel. Sitting just beside the driver, I always had a clear view of the road ahead as wells as the uncertainties it haboured in those moments when the journey seemed so tedious and the road too infinite. In moments like these, it always seemed like the more one forged ahead, the more he approached a point of blur. To know more about Invisible Borders, click HERE
