Tunnel of History is a body of work created in one of the suburbs of Paris called Saint Denis which are mostly inhabited by the black population. This tunnel is a long passage way that leads to the trains and trams heading to Paris thereby forming a sought of bridge between Saint Denis and the main Paris. I position myself at the centre of the tunnel photographing pedestrians, using the tunnel as a make shift studio where everyone is obliged to pass through the gaze of my camera. I record the mixture of cultures, of attitudes of various modes of being. Originally, these works are exhibited as slideshow on a DVD projection. The works were first shown in a group exhibition in the same suburb. The were also shown in the "Black Paris" exhibiton at the World Culture Museum Frankfurt, Iwalewa Haus in Bereuth and Musée Des Arts Dernier in Paris.
