Unspoken Hero. 2006

This is a project which bears witness to a moment in the life and death of a man, a doctor. It is a personal project, for this man was my uncle whom I was very fund of. The Irony of this project is that first of all, he died young, at the age of 36, abdruptly in a ghastly motor accident. Secondly being a pathologist who when alive was occuppied with dissecting dead bodies to find the cause of death, he too was brought into the same room and the knife turned on him. His life and death lead him through the same channel. Here, I began documenting him when he was alive on a different project, and then came his death which changed the story entirely. I dedicate this project to the beautiful memories he left in the hearts of those he shared with. This work has been exhibited as a solo exhibition in 2008 at the Neukolln Museum in Berlin.
