Bariga Nights 2018
Bariga Nights is a photographic project set in a specific neighbourhood in Lagos. In 2016, I took up an apartment in this neighbourhood and since then have actively photographed – drawing from my everyday encounters – lives therein. This series, as such, turns the gaze to how Bariga's inhabitants live in the reality of perhaps the most saddling problem of the country: lack of electricity.
Exploring a Void
Through constructed images, I seek to enliven conversations around socio-cultural, socio-political and geopolitical differences, to inhabit the interstitial space which opens up therein, while also questioning the singular notion of appearance and recognition.
In(-)decisive Moment is a photographic project created while in constant displacement along the Africa/Europe axis between the period of 2012 and 2015. It seeks to ignite conversations around the idea of the body as an object of resistance and agitation within pockets socio-cultural confluences and border conditions.

This project was realised in 2008, in Maputo Mozambique. It is linked to the concept of photographic performance in public space. The second deals with presentation...2008
Africans In Bordeaux
This project was born out of curiosity and a certain naivety as to what it was like to be an African living in a Western culture.
